How to choose a spare part
Spare parts are numbered in the form - Product name # number. The number after the # grid indicates the part of a specific spare part. Especially for rods, the smallest number #1 is the tip, and the largest is the handle. The handle will be marked as #2 for the two part rod. For three part rod the handle will be marked as #3, because #2 is the middle part. The exceptions are feeder rods, where the tip is not the spare part itself, and the mark #1 represents the uppermost part of the blank itself - the part where the feeder tips are inserted. Delphin CASTIX
As the name suggests, this rod was specially designed for extremely long casts. In developing this model, we used top-notch technologies and innovative solutions that will allow you to push the limits of what you can achieve. All the components have been selected to withstand high strain during powerful casts while maintaining low weight and good sensitivity.
The blank is built on a well-known 24T carbon that offers fast action and ideal stiffness. The fast action of the rod is key in long-distance casting—the tip quickly regains the initial position, and the line or the braided line passes more smoothly through the guides, prolonging your casts. A common problem among casting rods is their stiffness when fighting a fish. However, the model CASTIX was designed with this in mind, to minimise the risk of the fish getting unhooked because of a stiff tip.
Another key feature is the guides used, their precise positioning, quantity, and size. This is where we took an unconventional approach: based on extensive testing, we decided to add one extra guide compared to standard carp rods to achieve a better distribution of the force on the blank. The upper part features smaller single-foot SIC guides to reduce the weight, to keep the blank balanced, and to make the tip action faster. There is also a 50 mm butt guide shaped specifically to minimise the risk of the line getting tangled during casts.
The reliable reel seat on the blank is able to accommodate even large-capacity reels. For maximum stability, the reel seat is equipped with a metal locknut that prevents the reel from getting loose on its own, even during the most powerful casts. The split grip ends with a handle coated in a non-slip shrink material to ensure a secure grip in any situation.
