    Spare parts
How to choose a spare part
Spare parts are numbered in the form - Product name # number. The number after the # grid indicates the part of a specific spare part. Especially for rods, the smallest number #1 is the tip, and the largest is the handle. The handle will be marked as #2 for the two part rod. For three part rod the handle will be marked as #3, because #2 is the middle part. The exceptions are feeder rods, where the tip is not the spare part itself, and the mark #1 represents the uppermost part of the blank itself - the part where the feeder tips are inserted.

20.4.2022 Start of the trout season with Troutera
The trout season is getting more and more popular among fishermen every year. Spin fishing lovers from all over Slovakia are waiting for the magic date 16.4. when they will finally be able to pull out their rods again and catch these beautiful fish on the local water. It was no different this season either. It was an ideal opportunity to try a new spinning set.
My training was different from previous years. The decision was made to start fishing on flowing trout water with a braided line - unusually for me. Braided lines on lakes are a normal matter of course, but in smaller river this was the first time in my case. The advantages were to be - smoother, easier casting even with smaller baits and thus greater accuracy over longer distances, longer throws and direct contact with the bait. The choice fell on a novelty, the very affordable Delphin Troutera UL line in pink. There are more diameters and capacities to choose from. Namely 0.045mm 4lbs, 0.065mm 6lbs and 0.085mm 8lbs. The winding is 130m, which is really sufficient. My choice fell on the thinnest diameter and thus 0.045mm 4lbs 130m. At first glance, the line looks quite smooth, which was confirmed to me later during the fishing. The pink color did not bother me at all. Rather, it was an advantage and was clearly visible in the river. Seeing the line, where and at what angle it enters the surface is a direct necessity for the need to have 100% control over the bait. It really surprised me with it´s load capacity. As for the thin diameter, I can confirm that the line is really strong. For streams, I recommend using a Delphin FLR CARBON 100% 0.148mm 4.1lbs or 0m185mm 6.0lbs rig for the given line. In general, braided lines are very susceptible to stone damage. It would be a shame to lose the bait or any catch. As for the load capacity of fluorocarbon, it depends a lot on the knot. The basis is a sufficiently moistened knot and gradual tightening, fluorocarbon must not overheat during tightening. This reduces the load capacity of the knot.

Due to the higher levels of the streams, my partner and I choose a smaller river Poprad in the town of Svit. The weather was not favorable, it was quite cold and windy. I managed to catch 16 trout during the day. Not a single trout broke off. There was a loss of one or two jigs somewhere at the bottom of the river, but that belongs to spin fishing. Despite the wind, I caught quite well, and thanks to the thin diameter, the wind did not make me as big an arc as it would be when using a fishing line. I have experience with shots and tackling during lake fishing and I can say, that the braided line had no problem with flowing water either. On that day, due to the wind, the line was even an advantage. Thanks to direct contact, fighting a fish is more intense and more adrenaline-pumping. It is advisable to choose a slightly softer rod to work better with minimal line elongation.

The Troutera UL line will be used mainly on lake spin fishing. I look forward to using it for this purpose. I expect a very pleasant catching with a smooth throw even at a greater distance. In my case, it was used unusually on a small river. The line can be used in recreational fishing as well as in competitions, where it can provide advantages on the river compared to the fishing line and thus more catches. When choosing the diameter and carrying capacity, it is necessary to take into account the skills of the fisherman and the size of the fish caught. In my case, it was not a problem to work with the thinnest average at all. It was confirmed to me by the water that the Troutera UL line is solid to the given diameter. I wish you many pleasant experiences from the water.
